It is October 5th and today Windows 11 was released to the public and anyone with a valid license of Windows 10 can upgrade now for free. I just turned on my laptop and I noticed in my Windows Updates that I am eligible to upgrade.... this would be great but I thought that anyone that wanted to upgrade would be required to register first and then check eligibility after and only after registering.
I am not quite ready to upgrade my personal laptop but I am going to pick some equipment in the office and upgrade that. I am curious to see if the final release is different than the last issued beta version and if the upgrade methods are the same. I will be using my results to help my customers and friends decide if they should upgrade or not.
